Mas Garganta is an old Catalan farmhouse from the 14th century restored and adapted as rural accommodation.

A house with history and personality, where all the rooms have been refurbished preserving the memory of the passage of time, authenticity and imperfection.

Adaptable according to your needs, the house has 10 simple yet comfortable and cosy rooms.

All have private bathroom, window or balcony, bed linen, towels, hand soap and heating.

What do we offer?

  • Check-in is from 4:00 PM.
  • Room check-out is at 11AM, and house check-out is at 1PM.
  • Eating or having picnics is not permitted on the property.

Information

  • Pets are not allowed.
  • The minimum stay is two nights, from Friday to Sunday.
  • In July, August, and on holidays, we are open every day.

Where are we?

We are in the middle of nature, surrounded by forests, fields and mountains. In the Vall d'en Bas, in the village of La Pinya, just 2km. from Olot.

In the natural park of the volcanic area of the Garrotxa, in the province of Girona, Catalonia, Spain, Europe.

Volunteering at Mas Garganta

Private room with en-suite bathroom

We offer the opportunity to exchange help for accommodation in our home.

In exchange for your help, you will stay in a private room in the house and have access to a fully equipped kitchen and all shared spaces.

What can you help with?

We ask for a few hours of help per week with tasks such as:

-Supporting the garden and kitchen

-General cleaning and maintenance of shared areas

-Activities and playtime with the children

 

Minimum stay: 1 week

We are looking for responsible, independent people with initiative and a willingness to take part in daily life here.
